Welcome to Walt Disney World Resort located in beautiful Orlando, FL where dreams really do come true. This beautiful resort opened in 1971 and became an instant hit. With so many famous rides and attractions, you'll want to plan accordingly to find what fits best for you and your traveling crew.
4 theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios & EPCOT.
2 water parks: Blizzard Beach & Typhoon Lagoon
27 Hotels and several golf courses.
Many rave about the size of this park. With 25,000 acres to explore, there is something for the kid in everyone.
DisneySprings offers gourmet dining by renowned chefs and tons of outdoor shopping.
Parks
Magic Kingdom has 6 themes: Main Street, U.S.A., Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, and Adventureland.
Each theme is unique and feels like a world apart. It would be easy to spend two full days here. All ages love the traditional rides like the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, and It's a Small World. For extra excitement, I like Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion. Don't miss the nightly fireworks!
Tomorrowland, located inside Magic Kingdom, and is both futuristic fun.
It hosts the classic Space Mountain and TRON Lightcycle Run, the latest roller coaster.
Fantasy Land, located inside Magic Kingdom, houses the famous Peter Pan Flight.
You can soar in a pirate ship high above the famous scenes from Peter Pan. See Captain Hook and Wendy walking the plank and catch a glimpse of the streets of London.

Disney World offers snack carts, quick service, and reservation only dining. Mobile ordering is here to stay for quick service. Order from your phone and designate the desired pick up time. For dinner reservations with my own kids, if we are there for one week, we plan on only 3-4 reservations because they take 1-2 hours, they are expensive, and we don’t want to over do it.
However, they are certainly worth it.
Insider tip: breakfast is excellent for character dining!
Cinderella’s Castle Royal Table offers great food and an authentic in-castle character dining experience. Be Our Guest offers the essence of Beauty and the Beast sure to inspire.
Chef Mickeys character dining offers the fabulous 5: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto roaming the dining area during an all-you-can-feast event for $55/adult and $36 children ages 3-9yrs.
‘Ohana is a Polynesian-themed dining experience which is wonderful and very popular.
Hibachi-style Teppan Edo’s is popular for Japanese cuisine at EPCOT.
Disney Springs boasts many famous names in cooking. It’s hard to pick. They are all so good:
Oprah’s chef, Art Smith, will wow you at Homecomin’ where you’ll dine on southern biscuits and chicken, shrimp and grits. Fabulous!
The Chicken Guy! features Guy Fieri’s chicken fingers. Wow. The sauces add to the already fabulous chicken.
Disney Dining Cards
Dining cards will be available again in Jan 2022. These are a must-have. You will undoubtedly eat in the park, so grab a pre-dining card and get free money from Disney. For example, if you buy a $200 card, you’ll get $250 from Disney. This is $50 in free money, and it helps the pocketbook.
Some dining cards are more expensive. I often tell people to buy Visa or any pre-loaded gift card before you go and even ask for gift cards for birthdays and Christmas gifts to help offset the costs of food.
A Laundry's card gives priority seating at Disney Springs. This card is good for many, many restaurants at Disney, as well as in your local neighborhood restaurant. All these little tips add up and help your pocketbook.
Mobile app ordering is here to stay. Snack carts remain wait in line, but everything else is mobile ordering only.
Save time and order from your phone and designate the time for pick-up.
